I Changed My Mind About Something

Hiiii!

We officially have a new name!! In Transit is now The Rally, and the whole brand got a refresh to go with it. What do we think?!

While I was deep in the refresh losing my mind over the exact shade of blue and the fonts (OMG, FONTS! do we like this one? I'm still deciding...), I learned something new about painted wolves. Before they head out, the whole pack does this thing scientists call “a rally.”

They huddle up.

They get loud.

They get fired up.

They reconnect

Then they decide, together, that it's go time.

No single wolf gives the orders. They go together.

I read that and sat there like. Ohh dammmmmn!!! YAS!!

Because most of what we hear preached about leadership focuses on one person out front. The strong one. The loudest guy in the meeting. Everybody else falls in line behind them.

But painted wolves? They don't do that.

They go as a pack, and they are extremely good at what they do. Not to take this to a dark place but they catch their kill 80% of the time.

So if you don't mind, I need to zoom out from this newsletter for a hot sec. And I want to be super duper clear about what “this" actually is now, because it's bigger than a newsletter and it's way bigger than the coaching business I thought I was starting last September.

We're building a pack. We're building women who feel brave in the rooms that used to shrink them. We're building joy, because somewhere along the way we got told leadership had to feel like a performance you grit your teeth through, and that's a big ol' lie. We're building leadership that looks like you. Not a performance of his version of it.

Why focus on bravery and joy, Kels?

Great quesiton. Thanks for asking.

So you can go out and make the change you actually want to make. That broken process. That silly procedure nobody's questioned in ten years. Your team, your field, your patients, your corner of the world.

Or, you know, the whole damn world.

The pack is for women in every single field, on purpose. You'll be with women changing completely different worlds, and that's the good part. You borrow ideas your own industry would never hand you. You see the same barriers showing up everywhere, which means it was never just you. And you stop feeling so alone in it.

That's the rally.

Every issue, we huddle, we get fired up, we go.

Consider this yours.

Welcome. You found your pack.

And if you want more than an inbox.

If reading this made something in your chest go yes, that, I want IN, I built this for you.

The Summer Pack is three months, June 15 to September 15, a small group of women doing the real work of leading differently. Built on the painted wolf science. It's personally curated leadership development to build your bravery, your joy, and your leadership, so you can finally make the change you've been wanting to make for years.

1:1 coaching with me, plus live events, and weekly challenges that make it stick.

This Week's Thing

Okay, find your rally. Not the wolf metaphor, the actual thing you do before you do hard stuff.

Think about the last time you walked into something scary and felt ready anyway. What got you there? The playlist you put on too loud (mine sounds a lot like Olivia Rodrigo). The walk around the block. The voice memo to the friend who always says "babe, obviously." The lipstick. The blazer. The pep talk you give yourself in the car - “You ARE powerful, strong, brave, and can absolutely-f***ing do this.

Write down three. Then catch which one you actually reach for when it counts, and start doing it on purpose instead of stumbling into it.

That's your rally. Use it before the next big room.
